Government officials and TLP leaders hold on to the negotiation table to avoid growing instability in the country due to TLP anti-government protests. After the NHC meeting, the agreement has been reached by both parties. However, the details of the agreement are still awaited. Government officials included Shah Mehmood Qureshi, Asad Qaisar, Ali Muhammad Khan, and Mufti Muneeb, and TLP leaders included Mufti Ghulam Abbas Faizi and Mufti Mohammad Ameer. Mufti Muneeb said, “The government of Pakistan and the TLP had a detailed discussion under the environment of mutual trust, and an agreement has been reached between the two sides.” It cleared that the agreement is reached to avoid any further clashes and to save human lives.

The statement says, “I want to tell the nation that these dialogues were not held under any duress. They were held in a serious, responsible, and independent environment, [in which] everyone made their contribution. Everyone deserves to be thanked for it.” The outcomes of the agreement would come in front in the coming week. Mufti thanked PM Khan, saying, “I am thankful to the prime minister for empowering the committee and trusting it, and also to the committee for working dedicatedly to resolve this matter.” Moreover, the agreement was also backed by the TLP leader Saad Hussain Rizvi.
