South Korea after a thrilling match against Japan wins the sixth Asian Champions Trophy of Hockey. The match remained normal till the second half, but at the end of the match also the score was leveled, which created suspense. So, the penalty strokes had to decide the new Asian Champion. Saving the goal, South Korea grabbed its first champions trophy.

South Korea and Japan reached the final after dismissing Pakistan and India, respectively. For the third position, Pakistan and India struggled, but India won the bronze by scoring four goals against three of Pakistan.
